Easy Chocolate Cake

Yummy easy moist chocolate cake

Lissa's Chocolate Cake
Dump in bowl:
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2/3 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
6 tablespoons cocoa

Add 2 cups boiling water while mixing above mixture. This will look like mud when you pour it into a greased & floured cake pan, but I promise it will bake into a cake.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 min or until toothpick comes out clean.

This cake is very moist and I do not recommend using this recipe when trying to decorate a special cake.

I frost with a cream cheese frosting and my husband likes almond flavoring instead of vanilla flavoring in the frosting.
Happy baking, Sharon

Thanks Sharon.

Tina, It really does scare people when they first make it because it DOES look just like thin mud. This is the only chocolate cake I make and I can remember the recipe easily---- everything is in 2's except salt and cocoa.

Glad you liked it.
