TOTE BAG SWAP-GUIDELINES:OCT/NOV 2009

Postby Tina W » Tue Sep 29, 2009 6:43 am

I don't know about you, but I LOVE tote bags! I can never have too many and they DO make wonderful gifts! This swap is for all of the other tote bag lovers out there! Here is the Reversible Tote Bag that I made( on one I didn't push out the corners all the way before I took the picture(oops!)and the colors are Navy blue and cream not black lol)

ImageImage

HOSTESS: TINA W
PATTERN LINK FOR REVERSIBLE TOTE BAG:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=91070.0

PATTERN LINK FOR KEISHA TOTE BAG:http://lolaagain.blogspot.com/2008/09/keisha-bag-tutorial.html
************************************************************

1.You may choose either the Reversible Tote Bag or the Keisha Tote Bag.The sewer will choose colors/fabrics but PLEASE go to the LIKES/DISLIKES page and check out what your partners preferences are. We all want to get something that we'll like and use. If you haven't filled out that questionnaire yet, please do so.

2. Sign ups for this swap will run until Midnight on October 4th with the partner list being posted on October 5th.

3.You will have until November 10th to get your tote bag in the mail to your partner. Please mail your bag out on time. If something comes up and you are unable to meet the deadline, please contact your hostess. Communication is very important :)

4.Please use good quality fabrics. We want our bags to last and withstand the frequent washings that we inflict upon our most loved bags! Please use interfacing, batting or craft fleece in your bag to give it some body.

5.To sign up, please copy and paste the sign up list and add your name. This will be a one-on-one swap so you'll only have 1 partner.

6. Please post on this thread when you send and receive your bags. Also try to check in and post, at least once a week and let us know how things are (or aren't) coming along.

7.If you have any questions or problems, please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll sure do my best to help you!

Above all....HAVE FUN!!!!

**oh....just a little personal aside....if you are making the reversible tote bag and for some bizarre reason you have a brain fade, and, instead of sewing your strap onto one side, you sew one end to one side and the other end to the other side of your bag (thus making a peculiarly wonky looking affair) you can fix it by cutting the straps in half and re-sewing each layer together separately then sewing the two layers back together to make the reversible strap(instead of "unsewing" the straps off of the bag completely). How do I know this??????    ****

Tote Bag

Postby CoyoteQuilts » Sat Dec 19, 2009 3:44 am

Betty, I did it, I did it!!! Your bag is in the MAIL!!!!! I sure hope you like it and it is your colors..... Drats, I was in such a hurry I forgot to take a picture.... so when you get it please post one. I sure do appreciate your patience with this swap. If I had known what life had in store for me the past 3 months I would never have joined and made you wait. Now the last leg of the wait is almost over.
